I love what is happening right now. Topics that we knew yet were actively ignored by media, politics and even many of us are surfacing.
We knew that women are not treated equally to men and confronted with a lot of abuse. We knew that the climate is getting wired. We knew that racism is actively part of all our societies. We knew that pandemics are not only a Hollywood plot but a real possible threat.
Yet, we ignored and lived our lives. Now things are changing. We are confronted with our own past. During childhood, we absorbed all the reality around us positive or negative. We just did.
We grew up with a set of values and grouped in communities that represent similar thinking. Many of us did not explore the world, lived in other nations, and naturally lost the sensibility to see the other. Many of us lost our capacity for empathy.
Now change is coming. A change that forces us to adapt fast or otherwise lead with the consequences. Me too, Greta and BLM increased the “public shaming” if you don’t walk the street. Corona is enforced by law. Summarized, if we do not comply then the individual penalty is high, indifferent if you truly belief in the topic.
The questions that we actively must ask are: Will people’s value truly change? Can we really lead with…
